Empowering the Next Generation of Central Asian Scientists through the CARIN ECS Program. The Central Asia Regional Information Network (CARIN) regional workshop, held from the 11th to the 17th of September 2023, marked the beginning of an exciting journey for aspiring Early Career Scientists (ECS) from Central Asia.

My journey at the American University of Central Asia has been a significant chapter in my life, and I'm delighted to share more about my experiences. I am Sezim Askarbekova, a proud member of the class of 2023, and I pursued a major in Anthropology and International Development.

Legends of FC Barcelona played against the Legends of Asia team in Bishkek.  At the heart of this linguistic bridge, in this event, were a group of talented AUCA students, Zharkynai Maratbek kyzy BA-120, Mamatalieva Leila ECO-120, Tadzhimatov Bilaliddin BA-119, who took on the roles of English-Spanish translators, ensuring that the players and fans could connect seamlessly across language barriers.

Zere Abisheva (Environmental Management, senior) From July 24th to 28th, I attended the summer course "Geospatial Technologies for Building Resilience," hosted at Central European University (CEU) in Budapest.

In a review of the academic governance structure, the AUCA President, Dr. Timothy E. O'Connor, has initiated the creation of the new position of Dean of Academic Planning and Strategic Partnerships, which the AUCA Board of Treestes directly approved. 

My name is Toktosunova Zhamilia, and I am a fourth-year student majoring in the Anthropology Department. I aspire to pursue osteoarchaeology in the future that is why I chose AUCA to get my education. In 2022, I was admitted to the SUSI program.

My name is Marsel Sadykov. I graduated from the Psychology Department at AUCA in 2023. My academic journey at AUCA was a transformative and enriching experience that left an indelible mark on my personal and intellectual growth.

Body Moving Day is an annual event of the Orientation Program that fosters a sense of community among the incoming freshmen. It allows them to bond with their peers, engage in friendly competition, and enjoy participating in water activities where mobility is hardly needed!
