SWITCH-Asia PERETO Launches ECO KG Certification in Kyrgyzstan's Hotel, Restaurant and Catering (HoReCa) Sector Recognizing environmental best practices PERETO project is being implemented by the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) in consortium with partner organizations: UNISON Group (Kyrgyzstan), Technopolis Group (Belgium), Collaborating Center on Sustainable Consumption and Production - СSCP (Germany).

Shakhzoda Mirakova, a JMC student, has been chosen as one of 25 members to join the Youth Sounding Board, a group of young people who advise the Commissioner and the Directorate-General for International Partnerships (DG INTPA) on youth participation and empowerment in EU external action.

AUCA proudly announces Mira Dzhakshylykova, our Sustainability Coordinator, as a distinguished participant at the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP-28, the world's premier climate conference! By representing AUCA and the education sector, championing youth involvement in Kyrgyzstan.

From 4th-7th December, collaborating with six Kyrgyz universities, and supported by the European Union's SWITCH-Asia programme, PERETO partnered with IDEA Central Asia to launch the extensive Ecology 3.0 ecological campaign. The initiative included workshops across universities, empowering students to address climate change through sustainable tourism practices.

The Anthropology, Technology and International Development program is delighted to share this year's students who have been awarded the Mary Schweitzer Scholarship for Excellence in Anthropology.
