On October 25, the American University of Central Asia conducted a round table on the topic: "How do we make available Central Asian research?" as part of the International Open Access Week. The round table was hosted by the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology.
 

International Open Access Week, a global event held between October 21-27, is an opportunity for open access advocates to engage their communities to teach them potential benefits of Open Access, to share what they’ve learned with colleagues, and to help inspire wider participation to make Open Access a new norm in scholarship and research.

The delegation had a positive impression of the campus and meetings with AUCA students and Administration that we believe will bring to a successful collaboration further.

For the first time, AUCA’s Writing and Academic Resource Center will offer free, one-on-one peer tutoring in the Kyrgyz language. Aiym’s help is particularly valuable given that AUCA students starting with the Class of 2023 will be required to pass a state-wide Kyrgyz language exam in their second year in accordance with government policy.
