Leveling the Learning Curve: OSUN Partners Seek to Expand the Walls of Higher Education

Interview with AUCA President Jonathan Becker during the laying of a time capsule in the building of the Makerspace Learning and Design Center.

On December 2, 2022, the ceremony of laying time capsules in the Makerspace Learning and Design Center building, which is currently under construction, took place. The project is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Bard College, and AUCA.

It is with great sadness that I inform you that Dr. William (Bill) Newton-Smith, AUCA’s former chair of the Board and long-time board member, passed away this week at the age of 80.

On March 30th, the Kyrgyz State Philharmonic Hall was filled with excitement and anticipation as people gathered to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the Musical Theater "Debut-Mirrors" of the American University of Central Asia.

On March 30, 2023, The President’s Office arranged a meeting of AUCA students with Lesslie Viguerie, the US Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic. Jonathan Becker, AUCA President, was the host of the event.

The American University of Central Asia continues to assist schools in Kyrgyzstan.

Forsat is the job search website created by the Afghan students of AUCA. The launch ceremony of Forsat was held on Friday, February 17th, where it was presented to the AUCA community.

On Tuesday, the 14th of February, the final concert of the Stream competition was held.
