TREE PLANTING at the Elm Grove

Join us for AUCA’s traditional Tree Planting Event at the Elm Grove (Karagachevaya Rosha) on October 24, 2026, organized by the AUCA Center for Civic Engagement.
No special skills are needed-just bring your enthusiasm, comfortable clothes, and a willingness to make a difference.
Come meet fellow students, faculty, staff, and volunteers, enjoy a day outdoors, and contribute to restoring one of Bishkek’s oldest green spaces. Friends and family are welcome to join us, too!

Meeting Point: AUCA campus (we will gather at the campus and travel together to Elm Grove)
We’ll Provide: Transportation, planting equipment, and food for all participants.

About the project
Every April and October, AUCA’s Center for Civic Engagement organizes a traditional tree planting event at the Elm Grove as part of the Green Month initiative. This ongoing effort supports the restoration of the grove’s ecosystem, where more than 10,000 trees have been planted since the initiative began.
The project brings together AUCA and the French-Kyrgyz Association of Ecotourism to help restore and preserve the Elm Grove, Bishkek’s oldest man-made green space. Through collective action, we can help protect the city’s urban forests and create a greener, healthier environment for future generations.
Every tree counts, and every volunteer makes a difference!
