AUCA Commencement Ceremony 2025

On June 7th, the American University of Central Asia proudly held its Commencement Ceremony, honoring the Class of 2025. The event was a heartfelt celebration of academic achievement, personal growth, and the promising futures of this year’s graduates.

The ceremony began with an inspiring address by AUCA President Timothy O'Connor, who welcomed the graduates with a message of pride and hope:

 

“Dear graduates, today marks the culmination of a journey filled with inspiration and uncertainty, discoveries and challenges, academic pursuits and personal triumphs. Your achievements extend beyond mastering disciplines; you have also cultivated qualities of independence, responsibility, and freedom—core objectives of education. On behalf of the university, I extend my sincere respect and best wishes for your future professional and personal endeavors.”


Distinguished guests also shared their congratulations, including David Lakhdhir, Chair of the AUCA Board of Trustees; Leslie Viguerie, U.S. Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan; former AUCA President Andrew Wachtel; and other esteemed members of the university community.



This year, 304 graduates received their diplomas, marking the successful completion of their academic programs. Among them, Bermet Sultangazieva, a Software Engineering graduate, was recognized as the Best Student of the year. She was honored with the opportunity to deliver a speech on behalf of the graduating class, offering words of encouragement and unity.



The ceremony also featured special awards recognizing the Best Academic Department, Best Faculty Members, Best Student, and the Best Thesis Author highlighting the commitment to excellence that defines the AUCA community.



The Commencement wasn’t just a formal goodbye, it was a joyful, emotional gathering that brought together students, faculty, families, and friends to celebrate a meaningful chapter coming to a close. For the Class of 2025, it marked the start of a new journey one filled with ambition, challenges, and opportunity.
